  • Heat treatment

    Hardening is a treatment to increase hardness and strength of steel. Steel is heated until austenitized, then cooled rapidly (or quenched) in water, oil, or gas. Hardening makes steel drastically harder, but lowers toughness. Tempering equilibrates the steel for hardness and toughness that are ideal for intended use.

  • Heat treatment

    Normalizing and annealing process are intended to soften a steel, to improve machinability. In addition, it is able to reduce residual stress and improve the structure of the components that has been formed.

  • Heat treatment

    Vacuum heat treatment process is performed under vacuum atmospheres. It maintains high luminance with little surface deterioration of the treated material, and can be used for die and various metal components.

  • Heat treatment

    Austempering is an isothermal heat treatment, ideal for small components such as springs, clips and retainers. Compared with normal hardening and tempering, there are many positive characteristics such as significantly higher improvement of toughness and durability, and less contortion due to hardening. It is expected to greatly improve the quality of mechanical components for automobiles, office automation equipment, etc., which are continuously becoming lighter, thinner, shorter and smaller.

    • Surface hardening treatment

      In this treatment, the processed metal (especially low-carbon steel) absorbs carbon so that its surface is hardened. This results in a product with a hard surface and high resistance to abrasion, while the inside is soft and ductile.

    • Surface hardening treatment

      Carbonitriding is a modification of carburizing where the metal absorbs nitrogen simultaneously with carbon, and then the surface is hardened. In general, this treatment is conducted using the same facilities as gas carburizing.

      Gas nitrocarburizing is used to modify surfaces of thin parts used in automobiles, hydraulic equipment, electronic equipment, etc. Using gas from generators as well as ammonia gas, gas soft-nitriding adds nitrogen and carbon to the surface of materials. Ideal when requiring resistance to abrasion, fatigue and corrosion.

    • Surface hardening treatment

      Induction hardening using high frequency electric current that is popular with medium carbon steel by placing the conductor in the coil before releasing the high frequency electric current into the coil, causing electrical induction on the surface of the conductor. This current resistance causes rapid heat generation, which the surface hardening can easily undergo spot heat treatment.

      • Thin film forming process

        DLC stands for Diamond-Like Carbon, and this coating provides high tribological property. We develop and provide various coating films according to the needs of our customers.

      • Thin film forming process

        This is a clean surface treatment at a low-temperature, where plasma engineering technology is applied to ionize metal and gas to create a hard film called fine ceramic. Provides significant improvement in abrasion resistance. This treatment is ideal for components and products that require less warping for increased precision. Also used for decorative treatment, since it gives a beautiful finish due to the high luminance of the thin film.

          It is a microscope that can see the metal structure up to the grain size to analyze the structure and identify the phase of that metal.

          Hardness is the resistance of a material against scratch or pressing from other materials. Hardness testers such as Rockwell hardness tester, Brinell hardness tester, etc. are used to test the resistance of that material as appropriate.
